Wild weather hits the Gold Coast

After spending Christmas with my family down in Melbourne, I left a sunny 35 degree day on Friday 28th Dec to return to 30 to 40 knt winds and rain squalls. It's now Tues the 1st of Jan (Happy New Year) and this weather looks staying with us until Saturday. Too wet and windy for flying or riding a motorbike. Too gusty for kiteboarding. So here I am writing this blog.

I went down to the seaway this morning to check out the surf. As you can see I found that most of the beach has gone.

I then went to broadwater to find some poor buggers' trimaran washed ashore.

A wall of rain & a holy tender.
